Hot Tin Rooftop Garden District Bar Great City View

View of New Orleans CBD from Hot Tin rooftop bar.
After we left New Orleans' CBD (Central Business District) in an Uber, we stopped at The Pontchartrain Hotel on St. Charles Street. I had wanted us to take the streetcar, but I was voted down as our drinks were kicking in. It was probably the better decision as I remember the rooftop bar, but not eating dinner in the downstairs restaurant (Kevin and Chris tell Tracy and me that the escargot and the octopus were superb - I'll be back to try them again).

Note about New Orleans Streetcars: I cannot recommend riding a New Orleans' streetcar enough. I am so glad that the oil, gas, automobile and tire companies were not able to trick New Orleans into ripping out this great transportation gem. Even if you have no particular destination in mind, just ride the St. Charles streetcar from one end to the other and back. You will love riding underneath the canopies of live oak trees, watching the beautiful and greater-than-life-sized mansions and larger-than-life-street-characters slowly slip past you as the wind (or even the rain) rushes through the open windows. Find a reason. Ride a streetcar.

And we were all done for the night.

Notable Take-Aways:
Sleeping for 3 hours; waking up at 1am and saying "I've got to go to bed".
Homeless guy.
Betting on the first half of a football game.
Do not make eye contact with crazy women at casino bars.
I scorched my pants.
Don't carve your name into the table restaurant table.
"Even at my drunkest, I'm the voice of reason in this group."
Watch that pole.
You ate octopus. What!?
You ate escargot. What?!
Okkkurrrr!
